I took him for a walk tonight after work and he was seriously freaked out by some of the kids’ costumes.

It’s not a question of jealousy. It’s just something that’s been turned into a status symbol of sorts. Taking something that is alive and turning it into a trendy cliche ain’t cool, it’s Paris Hilton-esque.
Plus the thing is wearing clothing. ;p I don’t see huskies wearing clothing as they’re pulling a dude through the artic!
