I will never quite understand the desire people have to dress up in costumes for these conventions, but it is amusing to view. Some of the costumes are pretty good methinks. And some really, really, really bad.
IO9 collected some of the better ones.

I think I must be the most aurally challenged person out there because although I’m sure this song and video has been around for a bit, I JUST heard it thanks to Ashley. Gah! Anyway, whatevs, better late than never. I like this song and music video that stars wifey. My film shoot hopefully this Saturday will be EXACTLY like this video. Stay tuned.

My friend Clay sent me this photo that he snapped with the comment that “this is the gayest/most awesome photo i’ve ever taken.”
I had to look at it for a few seconds before I picked up on why this is the gayest/most awesome photo ever. I got the awesome part right away.
I mean, dinosaurs! Awesome! Dino Rampage? FUCKING Awesome.
Gay? Ohhhh. Yup. Totally gay, like in gay pride gay.
Thanks Clay!
Ah, this is brilliant. Since nearly all my friends are no longer in school, I think we can all relate to this cartoon.

I’m continued to be amazed at the ascendancy of amateur fashion photographer/blogger Scott Schuman–the eye and lens behind the hugely popular street fashion blog The Sartorialist. Just google him and you’ll see that he now has relationships with nearly every magazine, not to speak of his monthly column in GQ.
Anyway, here’s him in a brand new Gap ad.
While I find Gap’s clothing too ill-fitting on my wiry frame–As a friend recently said to me, “[MRod] you are a so skinny, you’re like a cross between Jackie Chan and Kate Moss.” Fuck you was my appropriate response.–I think the Gap’s celebrity photo series is nonetheless pretty cool.
Anyway, a combination of me, Jackie Chan (No, we don’t all look alike you assholes!), and Kate Moss with the assistance of Photoshop would result in something frightfully horrifying.
A documentary from College Humor about the walk of shame (conversely for guys, a walk of triumph in a shameless double standard):

I’m holding off on purchasing a new macbook, and a strong motivation for the delay other than the almighty dollar is mac buyer’s remorse: a month after my theoretical purchase, Apple will release a brand new revolutionary macbook.
Anyway, Wired’s Cult of Mac has photos of what is purported to be the next macbook. Color me ipod white skeptical, but the touchpad seems ginormous (that’s what she said?).

Here’s a hysterical segment from the Jimmy Kimmel show where they selectively bleep out and censor parts of the popular children’s show Sesame Street to make it appear that the boys and girls and their furry friends of Sesame Street curse up a storm.
I’d like to thank the following people who bought this video to my attention: Thank you people with too much time on your hands. Thank you YouTube. Thank you broadband internet connection. Thank you Jim Henson.
