No. No. No. These bacon themed decks are the opposite of extreme. This belongs in the realm of quaint lazy brunches with your mother-in-law.
Someone needs to stop this bacon madness. When will the vegetarians and vegans of the world unite and end this meme? And what is that funny feeling in the pit of my stomach that can only be quelled by the consumption of salty and crispy pork goodness???

I fear the hipster-pork meme is going to last a while. My foodie roommate recently went to a hipster whole-pig-roast party. They’re all the rage. And her cousin, who edits a meat magazine, devoted the entire last volume to pork.
When you think about it, pork is the perfectly ironic, dislocated meat for hipsters. Its vaguely southern, vaguely last century, vaguely working class. A trucker hat for your mouth, if you will.
I hate hipsters.

As a vegetarian, I wouldn’t mind stopping all the fashion madness around bacon. Gross.
Although I did hear recently that a study in Britain was linking bacon consumption to positive post-inebriation outcomes. So I guess it’s not all bad.
