I also think making big work that forces people to move around it or interact with it is really interesting. When I first showed We Couldn’t Get In, We Couldn’t Get Out, the large pink fence, people were having conversations through the fence. It was startling and creepy to me, but fascinating.

  1. Whoa. What an effort! It’s got me thinking about walls & fences; the first to come to mind is the Vietnam War Memorial Wall in D.C. Do good fences make good neighbors?
