Device for Improving iPhone Reception

Fine, it’s not the latest hack fix from Apple or AT&T. This is actually one prototype of many “acoustic listening devices developed for the Dutch army as part of air defense systems research between World Wars 1 and 2.”

Tank Destroyer Blvd

Fort Hood has one of the most gangsta street names ever with “Tank Destroyer Blvd.” And on the other side of the spectrum there’s the street I grew up on: Furrow Creek Road.

There are some other awesome street names mentioned in the comments over at Boing Boing.

Monopoly House

I’d like to collect my $2000 and buy An Te Liu’s life sized Monopoly House.

View of downtown Manhattan from Brooklyn.

Delicious Red Hook lobster roll before I devoured it in 15 seconds.

Dub Kweli

D.J. Max Tannone, the remix magician behind Mos Dub (previously) does it again, but this time with Talib Kweli. Result is considerable.

Nike Files Patent for Marty McFly Sneakers

Remember the blazing auto-lacing Nike sneakers from “Back to the Future 2″ (pictured above)? Well, sneaker freaks unearthed a patent submitted by Nike that looks an awful lot like the ones worn by Marty McFly. The film was set in 2015 too, which makes the timing pretty damn suspicious. These might be a pair worth waiting in line for. Click the above link for more scans of the patent application.
