25th Anniversary of Challenger

Boston Globe’s Big Picture has a photo retrospective on the sad 25th anniversary today of the shuttle Challenger explosion which killed 7 crew members, including beloved New Hampshire social studies teacher Sharon Christa McAuliffe who would have been NASA’s first teacher in space.

• Single basic membership and ticket: $71,000
• Single membership and VIP ticket: $156,000

If you want a plus one, you’ll have to upgrade your membership (because what executive wants to go solo?) to the “Industry Partner” level. Cost?

• $301,000

But you are an executive p-i-m-p. You want to bring an entourage of 5 people, which means you’ll have to upgrade your membership to the “Strategic Partner” level. Cost?

• $622,000

Five bedroom chalet for you and your crew. Rental cost?

• $140,000

Now what about on-site transportation? The organizers provide a driver and car (Mercedes S-class). It’s a bargain! Cost?

First-class airfare. Cost for one round-trip ticket from New York to Zurich?

Private plane round-trip option instead?
